Devil's Backbone Adventure Resort in Matewan, WV is the premier lodging and camping destination for visitors to the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System. We offer convenient ride-in, ride-out access and can easily accommodate large groups.
We have a wide range of accommodations including:

We are located just outside of Matewan, WV and directly on Trail 59 of the Hatfield McCoy Trail System with ride-in access.
The Tipple Tavern is an on-site restaurant and bar offering appetizers, lunch, burgers, salads, steaks, kids' menu, desserts, and entrees.

Backbone Company store
Our on-site store offers trail permits, trail gear (helmets, goggles, gloves, etc.), resort and Hatfield McCoy Trail System souvenirs, ice, beer, wine, drinks, snacks, groceries, and toiletries.
