HATFIELD-MCCOY TRAIL SYSTEM
DEVIL'S BACKBONE ADVENTURE RESORT is located in the middle of the Devil Anse Trail System with convenient ride-in, ride-out access. A full day's adventure - or more - can be found in either direction. Our property accesses Buffalo Mountain Trail System near Williamson to the east and Rockhouse Trail System near Gilbert to the west.
We are an authorized trail permit dealer! Check in, grab a pass, and hit the trails!

Answers to frequently asked questions about the trail system:

All riders must have a trail permit. You may carry it with you if you don't always wear the same helmet. You may purchase permits at the resort.

$26.50 for WV residents and out-of-state veterans​

$50 for non-residents

Permits are good for the calendar year in which it was purchased.

Minimum age is 6 years old. No booster seats or car seats allowed.
-
All riders must have a DOT, Snell, or other approved helmet.

Trails are only open during daylight hours.

Driving on pavement is permitted with a permit.
